During the pandemic, when things shut down, we got busy. We partnered with Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional and created a cultural moment to successfully launch Canvino—a bottle-quality wine, in a can.
We did the visual identity, packaging, website, and launched the social feed. The look we developed for Canvino was a perfect balance of style, music, and wine, all packaged in an accessible fashion. The design of the can had a nod to Carraba’s tattoo sleeves. It was a perfect aligning of artistry in the can (sustainable wine, certified green, vegan and gluten free) with the artistry in Chris’ music.
Canvino made a big impact during the first six months after launch. The unique design and branding of the cans helped land national distribution deals across 38 states.
Canvino also became a pandemic staple landing on NY Magazine’s “The Strategist” as one of the “10 Things That’ll Sell Out”. Canvino was featured as a unique must have gift for the holiday season landing on gift guides from OK, Star, and People magazines. Canvino was also picked up by ABC’s show “The Ultimate Surfer” which extended the brand appeal to a global audience.
